Notre Dame High School triathlete, Evelyn Baldwin placed fifth in her age group at the Aquathlon National Championship in Long Beach, Calif., over the weekend.
Baldwin is on Notre Dame’s lacrosse team, cross country and track teams. She is also a member of the Knight’s Tri-Club. More than 800 triathletes competed with Baldwin in Long Beach over the weekend. The Aquathlon consisted of a 750 meter swim, a 22-kilometer bike ride and a 5-kilometer run.
Baldwin’s fifth place finish earns her a spot-on Team USA to compete in the Aquathlon World Championships next year in Australia.
The triathlete has shown success not only in athletics, but in the classroom, as she is also class president.
