LOS ANGELES – Bari Brandwynne has been named as Notre Dame High School’s varsity head women’s golf coach, announced by Athletic Director Alec Moss on Thursday.
The PGA and LGPA professional served as a teaching coach for Knights from 2012-15, assisting the coaching staff and team to a CIF Championship, two Mission League Championships and coached an Individual Mission League Champion.
In addition to her involvement at Notre Dame, Brandwynne brings a great deal of experience to the Knights, as she has taught professional golf for more than three decades.
She was the first female instructor at Los Angeles Country Club, and she is a Southern California PGA Tournament Committee Member and Women’s Committee Member.
"We are so fortunate to have this level of a coach to help our team continue to go to higher levels,” said former head coach Ann McClung.
Brandwynne succeeds McClung, who led the Knights to the CIF State Championship appearance. Brandwynne and the varsity golf team will kick off their season in the fall.
