LOS ANGELES – Notre Dame High School alumna Anne Marie Taylor has been hired as the women’s beach volleyball head coach, announced by Athletic Director Alec Moss on Wednesday.
"We are very excited about having Anne Marie back at Notre Dame as the head coach of our Women's Beach Volleyball Program,” said Moss. “Anne Marie has dedicated many years to teaching volleyball at a high level, and I believe she will set a solid foundation for our young women right from the start. We are looking forward to a great season with her taking the lead. "
Anne Marie Taylor, a Notre Dame alum (2011) returns to her alma mater after an impressive coaching and playing career, as she started for Loyola Marymount University’s beach volleyball program for three years, and then started for Florida International University for one year.
Following her collegiate career, Taylor spent two years as a volunteer coach at FIU and Vanguard University. Taylor then was named the assistant indoor and beach volleyball coach at Cypress College, where she helped lead the indoor team to the first round of playoffs and several ranked victories.
In addition to coaching, Taylor also served as the assistant athletic director at Notre Dame Elementary, where she was the head physical education teacher.
Taylor and the Notre Dame women’s beach volleyball team will kick off the season this March.
