Six Notre Dame spring sports made the CIF Southern Section Playoffs, while baseball and softball were also named Mission League Co-Champions and Champions, respectively. Four teams are still currently competing.
Men’s Volleyball – The men’s volleyball team concluded its regular season with 15 wins, finishing second in the Mission League. The team earned a spot in the CIF playoffs, where the Knights beat San Juan Hills in the first round 3-2, but then lost in the second round to San Marcos after putting up a fight at home.
Men’s Tennis – For the first time in over a decade, the men’s tennis team earned a spot in CIF-SS playoffs. The Knights earn their playoff spot after winning five league matches. The team advanced to the second round after beating Le Lycee 12-6. Notre Dame fought hard, but fell to Royal High School.
Swimming - The men and women’s swimming team put up a strong showing at CIF-SS Prelims, as five athletes made it to CIF-SS Finals. A select few of the men’s swimming program has advanced to the CIF State Finals and will compete on Friday. The swimming team had a successful regular season, as the women went 5-1 and the men went 6-2.
Softball – After an impressive 17-7 season and a big win over Louisville in league play, the Notre Dame softball team was crowned Mission League Champions for the first time since 2016. The Knights opened the first round of playoffs on Thursday against Long Beach Poly at home and come out with a 3-1 win. Notre Dame will take on Temescal Canyon at Gladys C Burns Softball Field on Tuesday.
Baseball - The Knights compiled a 20-7-1 on the season and were named Mission League Co-Champions with Harvard-Westlake, earning their spot in the playoffs. The Knights played the first round against Mira Costa and won with a 3-0 shutout. Notre Dame has advanced to the second round of playoffs and is set to take on El Dorado on Tuesday at El Dorado High School.
Track and Field – The track and field program had five athletes and one relay team who were named Mission League Champions in their respective events. A select few track and field athletes will compete this Saturday in CIF Finals at Moorpark High School.
