The Notre Dame women’s volleyball team will be hosting its annual Knight in Pink match on October 5 against Louisville. The Knights will use Wednesday’s match to promote breast cancer awareness and acknowledge the impact this disease has, while also fundraising for the Valley Breast Care and Women’s Health Center.
Last season, the Knights raised over $15,000. This year, the volleyball team has set a goal of $20,000. Knight in Pink shirts can be purchased at lunch for $10, proceeds will go to the Valley Breast Care and Women’s Health Center. Donation can be made with the link below.
The Center will use the donations to help stop premature and preventable deaths of women from breast cancer, with screenings and care.
“Understanding the preventative measures that can be taken, building connections with an organization in the Notre Dame High School area, allowing a space for connectivity and hope building, and donating our time and resources toward a disease with such a huge scope of impact is beyond crucial,” said Head Coach Kami Ward. “The program would like to thank everyone in advance for their help and support!”
