LOS ANGELES – Notre Dame High School Faculty Member Dr. Elliott Walker has been named the men’s volleyball head coach, announced by Athletic Director Alec Moss on Thursday.
"It became very clear during the interview process that Dr. Walker's passion and ability to coach volleyball was second to none," said Moss. "I know we are in good hands with him leading our young men into the upcoming season."
Walker, who has a PhD in education, brings an abundance of coaching experience to Notre Dame, with nearly a decade at the collegiate level, as he is the current women's head coach and program director at East Los Angeles College.
Prior to working at East LA College, Walker served as the head coach at Bishop Mora Salesian High School after he spent four years as the assistant coach. During his time at both the collegiate and high school level, Walker served as the Director and coach of Club Wood Volleyball.
In addition to coaching, Walker has a versatile resume in academia and has taught many different courses in math, science, health and physical education.
Walker will start his first season with the Knights this spring.
