Adam Yassaman has been named Notre Dame High School’s head varsity men’s soccer coach, announced by Athletic Director Alec Moss on Monday.
"Our men’s soccer program is getting a great teacher and leader with Adam being our next head coach," said Moss. “I am excited about him taking over and leading our student athletes into what we hope will be a positive and energetic brand of high school soccer for the foreseeable future."
Yassaman has experience from the club to collegiate level, as he is currently the head coach and social site director for LAFC SoCal Youth, where he manages boys and girls teams of all ages. In addition to working with LAFC SCY, he is also an assistant coach at LA Valley College.
Prior to working with LAFC SCY and LA Valley College, Yassaman was a youth director at Pateadores LA, where he oversaw all the younger age groups and was a key role in recruiting and developing relationships. Before becoming the youth director, Yassaman was a staff coach for Pateadores LA and led several of his teams to the finals in various showcases and tournaments.
While working for the Pateadores, Yassaman was also working with UCLA Men’s Soccer, where he coached several day camps and ID camps, designing practices for high level players to play at the collegiate level.
A former player himself, Yassaman is a well-rounded athlete who continued his soccer career after playing at Saugus High School; also playing at West Valley Samba Soccer Club, Santa Clarita United Soccer Club, Cloverfield FC and Real Santa Monica.
Yassaman will join a great group of Knight soccer athletes with play beginning this winter.
