Ann McClung was born and raised in Iowa where she played competitive high school and college tennis at Iowa State University. After moving to California (for the sunshine, Dodgers and Lakers), Notre Dame became family in 1985. She began teaching Physical Education/Health/Driver’s Ed, added Assistant Athletic Director duties, and now she is the Dean of Women. Her coaching resume includes girls’ volleyball, softball, soccer, tennis and swimming. She took on the golf team in 2006. Her goal from day one was to create a team environment for an independent sport. The girls were already talented-they just needed to experience the joy of teamwork to get to the next level. It has been her joy to watch the lifelong relationships develop, to experience the joy of all the team and individual successes we have had and to “feel” the camaraderie of these beautiful young ladies. She truly believes they become better golfers and humans from their shared experiences.
