Dazé will enter his first year with the Knights this fall.
An owner and head coach of Actyve Volleyball and a former coach at Laguna Beach Volleyball Club, Dazé has over two decades of coaching experience at the club level and has worked with athletes of all ages.
Dazé served as an assistant coach at the 2016 Olympics for bronze-medal winners Kerri Walsh-Jennings and April Ross in Rio De Janeiro. In addition to coaching Team USA, he also coached on the AVP and led one of his athletes to an AVP Most Improved award.
Prior to coaching in the Olympics, the Southern California native served as Pepperdine’s volunteer assistant for the beach and indoor volleyball programs from 2012-14. The Waves beach team won the National Championship in 2014 and were national finalists in 2013 under Dazé.
Before arriving at Pepperdine, Dazé coached at Irvine Valley College, where he led the team to the Final Four of the state tournament. He also coached at Concordia University, where he led the team to the NAIA quarterfinals and Final Four.
As an assistant coach, Dazé was recognized on the “2014 AVCA Thirty Under 30” list. He was the only volunteer assistant listed in 2014 and only the second in the history of the award.
