Maggie Preas is in her second year as the head coach of the Women's Lacrosse Team at Notre Dame. She also currently coaches for Fire Lacrosse Club based out of Santa Monica. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Maggie was an assistant coach at Westlake High School and California Lutheran University. While living in Virginia, Maggie was the assistant coach at Western Albemarle High School and reached the Virginia State Championship in 2019. During her time in Charlottesville, Maggie coached for the Cavalier Lacrosse Club under the University of Virginia Women's Lacrosse coaching staff.
Maggie played Division I lacrosse at the University of Virginia and graduated in 2017 as a two time All-ACC Second Team selection, a two time ACC All-Academic Team selection, IWLCA Second Team Southern Region member, VaSID Second Team member, and captain. She graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and Anthropology and then a M.T. in Foreign Language Education in 2018.
Prior to the University of Virginia Maggie attended McDonogh High School (Owings Mills, MD) where she was a part of setting one of the longest consecutive win streaks in high school sports (198-0). She also was a US All-American, Under Armour All-American, First Team Baltimore All Met, Varsity Sports Network Defensive Player of the Year, and captain in 2013.
